Genesis

Irwin always loved to sing as a kid. His passion for singing amplified in secondary school when he was selected by his class to be the main singer during a Teacher’s Day concert. Since then, he has branched off into songwriting, harmonising, music productions, and live sound recording.

Apart from being a competitive singer, Irwin also sings at events and wedding gigs, such as: SPH Book Fest, Yellowren Arts Festival, Esplanade Red Dot August. He would also be invited onto music programmes organized by local radio stations such as UFM100.3, 96.3 Hao Fm & 933FM to sing covers and discuss music-related topics with the DJs.

In 2020, Irwin collaborated with IMDA to produce its Content Series original single “Unsung Heroes”, to show support for Singapore’s frontliners who are bravely fighting against the Covid-19 virus. Given that many performance venues have closed down due to the pandemic, Irwin has shifted his weekly performances via live-streaming on his social platforms to spread the joy of music despite these troubling times. He has also been invited to Teck Ghee CC, Geylang Serai CC, Tampines West CC & SAFRA Mount Faber for live-streaming performances.

Apart from performing, Irwin also does pre & post production work. Some of his past work includes arranging school songs for Yio Chu Kang Secondary School and creating music jingles for Prudential. Currently, he also does field sound for Pandestic Media production house, which specialises in tvcs, social media contents and short films.
